Know Your Limits

One of the most important things for a new business to keep in mind is to know its limits. One of the most important limits a new business, and really any business, has is the amount of people it can and should reach. As the saying goes, if you try to please everyone, you will end up pleasing no one! Every business has time constraints, financial limits, manpower limits, and the list goes on. These constraints limit the effectiveness of a business in reaching its customers, especially if the business has too wide of a target market. When a business knows its market in detail it can focus its limited resources in order to target a specific segment of the market that will produce maximum gain with minimum cost. So in closing, know your market, but more importantly, know your Limits!
